Meet Damon, Youth Opportunities Coordinator

My name is Damon Walker, and I’m from West Baltimore. I am the Youth Opportunities Coordinator at BYA this summer.

After being a victim of a random act of violence (gun shot wound) at 18 and being paraplegic, I dedicated my life to advocating for the disabled and at risk youth.

I chose to work at BYA because it's my dream job, I love working with youth and arts.

What does the future hold for me? I try to take things one day at a time, but I feel my future seems bright expanding my role as an activist for city of Baltimore.
