What do you like about the class/projects/activities you're working on? 

“I like that, I was given more freedom this session. I like that I was able to create the art that I wanted to.”

What has been the biggest takeaway from this class?

“My biggest takeaway was finding what inspires me being I was given more freedom to be able to create what I wanted to.”

Have you had any challenges in this course? If so, what were they, and how did you overcome them?

“My biggest challenge was really getting familiar with the art program procreate. I overcame that challenge by really practicing and asking for help when I needed it.”

Has this class impacted the type of art you want to make? If so, how?

“This class has most definitely impacted the type of art I want to create. The type of art I want to make has been impacted by opening my mind to new avenues when it comes to different subject matters when it comes to creating different pieces of art.”

Who is your biggest influence/s? Why?

“My biggest influences are my family and the people at BYA. They are my biggest influence because they push me to my greatest potential and want to see me succeed.”

What is your favorite work that you’ve made so far and why?

“My favorite piece of art I made was a digital picture I painted over in procreate. It’s my favorite piece this session because it was a picture I took of my brother and he is my best friend.”

What do you like about the class/projects/activities you're working on? 

“I like how much creative freedom we have in this session.”

What has been the biggest takeaway from this class?

“I am able to discover more of who I am since the designs and activities are student-led.”

Have you had any challenges in this course? If so, what were they, and how did you overcome them?

“It was tough adjusting to thinking creatively as an individual at first and I couldn’t come up with designs easily.”

Has this class impacted the type of art you want to make? If so, how?

“With the combination of guests and new art techniques I have become more interested in line work and lighting and seeing how big of an effect they could make in combination with one another.”

Who is your biggest influence/s? Why?

“I am largely influenced by Rawsueshii and Ergo. Josh because their art style is eye-catching and they highlight people who look like me.”

What is your favorite work that you’ve made so far and why?

“My favorite work is one of the most recent ones in my art series this session, a silhouette of a woman with blonde finger waves because it is simple but interesting.”
