Silk Scarf Dying with our Friends at Neighborhood Fiber Company!

On March 6th, BYA took a trip to Neighborhood Fiber Company where Jenelle and Kenya taught us how to acid dye silk scarves.

I thought Neighborhood Fiber company is/was a great experience to have. Not only are they wonderful people, but also hard working. I had a great time, learning about their workplace.

The neighborhood Fiber co. trip was a great experience. Creating my own scarves with the potential to sell them gave me an idea of what to expect if I decide to sell products or my art outside of BYA. I also just enjoyed looking at everyone’s unique scarves.

Neighborhood Fiber & Co. also carries BYA products that was produced from SAP programs. With local partners like NFC, we are able to create more revenue streams for young artists and designers who want to build their business.
