What is your role at the BYA this summer?

Maria is an intern from Bloomberg Arts for Learning. She will primarily be helping with the youths in the Summer Art Program as well as working on social media and planning for BYA Bus Wrap Kick-off.

How long have you been working at BYA?

This is Maria’s first time working at BYA.

What is your favorite medium to work in?

Maria really enjoys sketching; she would also like to learn how to sew. 

Something you are looking forward to this summer? 

Maria is excited for Artscape and BYA Bus Wrap Kick-Off in August. She is also thrilled to be helping out at BYA because she enjoys working with youth.

An interesting fact about yourself

She is from El Salvador and moved here when she was 9. 

What are some future plans you may have?

Maria would like to start a jewelry business where she would make beaded jewelry.
