SAP in Spotlight : Ezra Morrow
Ezra Morrow, 15, is a freshman at Coppin Academy. He has been at BYA since February 2019.
Ezra has taken painting and screen-printing class, with painting being his favorite class. He did not start painting until 8th grade and feels that he has improved a lot of the past year.
This is one of his favorite paintings. He says that he had this growing obsession with sunsets. He painted them before but did not particularly care for how they looked. When he painted this picture, he compared them to the others and instantly decided that it was his favorite. He said that it looked better and more improved than the others. Besides his painting, one of the projects he enjoyed was making candles in the winter. He said that it was his first time making them and he liked making them a lot.
Ezra loves how much he fits in with BYA. When he got here, he explained how nervous he was because he did not think he would belong. As the year went on, he grew closer to people in the program and opened up more. The classes he will be taking this session are textiles, painting, and print making. One project he hopes to make is putting a logo on a book bag in the textiles class. After high school, Ezra wants to go to college out of state; “hopefully somewhere sunny”. He wants to study advertising and become a marketing manager.
Fun Fact: Ezra is a Capricorn and has a lot of energy.
